Tom and Love

It's all about love in their new song. BRAVO talks to Tom about his personal experiences in that field.

Tokio Hotel always finds something new to make their fans happy. It has been quite a surprise that they re-recorded “Rette mich”. But the boys have one more hit for you. On the new single, there's a brand new song, “Thema Nr. 1” ("Topic #1"). BRAVO met with Tom, to find out more about this track – and to talk about girls.

BRAVO: What is the new song, “Thema Nr. 1”, all about?
TOM: It's about one girl, that exists in every school, that’s just "Thema Nr. 1". Every guys wants to go out with her.

BRAVO: Was there a girl like that on your school?
TOM: Sure. She was blond, tall, beautiful figure, very attractive. She was exactly what everyone wanted to have.

BRAVO: You, too?
TOM: Sure. I talked about her with my friends, and when she walked pass us, we stared at her as she walked away.

BRAVO: Have you tried to get to know her?
TOM: No one really knew her, that’s why it was hard to get close to her. Everyone tried and I made it (laughs), I was dating her for a brief period of time.

BRAVO: Why so?
TOM: It didn't work between us. Maybe my expectations were set too high, cuz she was "Thema Nr. 1". The whole thing was like a bubble that exploded.

BRAVO: Did you feel disappointed?
TOM: No, she just wan't the right girl for me, you can't change that.

BRAVO: Would you say "I love you" to the right girl?
TOM: If I loved a girl, I'd say that. But only if it's for real. That hasn't happened yet. I never said "I love you".

BRAVO: Did a girl ever say that to you?
TOM: No. Girls are very carefully. They only say "I love you" when they mean it for 100%, and that hasn't happened to me.

BRAVO: Have you been in an embarrassing situation with a girl?
TOM: A girlfriend of mine hit me once. She said I was talking badly about her. That's why she broke up with me - with a slap in my face.

BRAVO: How did you feel?
TOM: I was more angry than sad. It was at school, and all of my friends saw it.

BRAVO: Who's "Thema Nr. 1" in your band?
TOM: Eva Longoria, Angelina Jolie and the Olsen Twins. Unfortunately we only can see them in Bravo. The newest pics of the Olsen Twins were hot.

BRAVO: What must a girl be like for you to like her?
TOM: Brunette, blonde, black - it doesn't matter. The main thing is that she fits with me. The girls I like look completely differently when compared to each other.

BRAVO: Do you think it would harm the band if you would fall in love?
TOM: No, it wouldn't have an effect on Tokio Hotel. The band is "Theme
Nr. 1", and the girl will have to deal with that. It would be difficult to have
a girlfriend right now, cuz we are always busy and on the road. And because of that the girlfriend would more suffer than the band and music.

BRAVO: Would you say it if you were in love?
TOM: Sure. But I wouldn't show her in public. That’s my private life.
I wouldn't talk much about her. Expect it would be Eva Longoria, than I would show off (laughs).
